How We Pick
The data science behind our jackpot predictions.
Jackpot betting is often treated as a game of pure luck. While variance certainly plays a role, the outcome of a 17-game accumulator is heavily influenced by probability. We don't guess, and we don't rely on "insider info." Instead, we use a rigorous analytical framework to identify value and structure betslips with the best mathematical chance of a return.
The Three Pillars of Our Analysis
Every pick we publish is the result of three overlapping analytical layers. If a game doesn't pass all three, we don't pick it.
1. The Elo Rating System
We maintain a dynamic Elo rating for every team in the major leagues we cover. Unlike a simple league table, Elo adjusts based on the strength of the opponent. Beating the top team away from home earns you more rating points than beating the bottom team at home. This allows us to objectively measure team strength.
2. Market Odds Movement
The betting market is a massive, real-time polling station. When odds drop sharply on a specific team, it usually means smart money is backing them—perhaps due to a key player returning from injury or a leaked tactical change. We track these movements to identify games where the market disagrees with the raw stats.
3. Historical Trend Analysis
Certain leagues exhibit predictable patterns. For example, some leagues have historically high draw rates, while others are dominated by home advantage. We feed years of historical data into our models to understand the baseline probability of an outcome in a specific league context.
Bankers vs. Upsets
To help you build smarter betslips, we categorize every game we analyze into one of two buckets:
High-confidence picks where our models show a significant statistical advantage. These are the games we recommend as the foundation for your betslip. You can find them marked with a B on our results pages.
Games where the favourite is vulnerable. This doesn't mean they will definitely lose, but the probability of a draw or an underdog win is higher than the market suggests. We often recommend double-chance cover on these games. Marked with a U.
How We Build the Slip
Once the fixtures for the week are announced, our process follows a strict sequence:
Initial Filtering
We filter out games with incomplete data, high volatility, or missing lineups. If we can't confidently analyze a match, we don't include it.
Deep Dive on Fixtures
Our analysts manually review the top statistical contenders. We look at head-to-head records, recent form, and expected goals (xG).
Structuring the Slip
We combine the highest-probability picks into a single slip. For Midweek jackpots (which require 13 or 15 correct games), we may use double-chance cover on a few high-risk games to protect the betslip.
Review and Publish
Every slip is reviewed by our lead analyst before it is published. It is then sent to your phone via SMS.
Our Commitment to Transparency
We don't sell guaranteed wins. Anyone promising a guaranteed 17/17 jackpot is lying to you. Football is unpredictable; a red card in the 5th minute can ruin the most perfectly analysed betslip.
What we do sell is high-quality, data-backed information. We publish our results and historical win rates openly on our Mega Jackpot Results and Midweek Results pages. We hold ourselves accountable to the data.
